Cajun soul-songwriter Bobby Charles had a self-titled album, recorded with the band, that caught singer-songwriter Shannon McNally’s attention. In 2007, McNally and New Orleans legend Dr. John recorded this album with Charles. Jangling organs, bluesy guitar riffs, and mysterious, southern-gothic melodies capture the gritty side of Big Easy-inspired music.
