October snuck up on us but brought a nice change of weather and pace, and as always, we’re here with a new edition of the Shangri-La Records Podcast. We’re still loving having moved to our new podcast home at the Memphis Listening Lab, and can’t thank Jim Cole enough for his hospitality. This month J.D. and John discuss upcoming local releases, including J.D.’s new solo project and The Subteens “don’t call it a comeback” album, both of which are out via J.D.’s burgeoning Back to the Light multi-national empire. After some light banter, the guys welcomed the lovely and abundently talented Marcella Simien to discuss her journey from Louisiana to Memphis and share music from two upcoming vinyl releases.
