‘Tis the season and we’re ready to celebrate the holidays with you! This week we’ve got a couple events that you can participate in – one at the shop on Thursday, December 14, and another on Saturday, December 16 at Memphis Made Brewery on Cooper.
Join us at Shangri-La at 5:30 pm on Thursday, December 14, for the third annual Me & Leah benefit show for Room In The Inn – Memphis! RITI – Memphis provides holy hospitality during the winter to many people experiencing homelessness in our city. We are asking guests to make a financial contribution to the cause or bring supplies like gloves, hats, socks, etc., to be distributed to those who are in need. An online donation can be made HERE. Then, on Saturday, December 16, come help us celebrate the season with a killer free show featuring THE ULTRACATS (Alicja Trout/Lori McStay/Andrew Geraci) and OLD NEWS (featuring members of CHINA GATE and DON LIFTED)! THE ULTRACATS blew us away with their sweet harmonies at LALAFEST, and OLD NEWS is an organ/drums/guitar trio playing some holiday favorites, including cuts from the Booker T & the MGs Christmas album! This year we’ll be throwing it at Memphis Made Brewing. We usually ask everyone to bring a can of food for the Mid-South Food Bank, but this year we’ll just be passing the hat. Since it’s a free show, we simply request you bring a couple bucks to tip the bands and the Food Bank. Look forward to seeing a bunch of your merry selves!
