Memphis finally unthawed from our winter siege, so we figured it would be a good time to drop another podcast. This time around JD and John talk about facelifts at the shop and a few killer new Shangri-La paintings for sale courtesy of the great Alex Warble (who designed our world famous logo). We also nod to in-store gems from some of the great women of Memphis music history such as Jessie Mae Hemphill, Anne Peebles, and Cordell Jackson.
As always, this month’s episode features unique live performances recorded just for the podcast. For March, we focus on a few of the groups recorded (and played in) by friend of the store Harry Koniditsiotis at his Five & Dime studio in midtown. You can find LPs, 7″s, and CDs by most of them at the shop on your next visit.
You can listen to the podcast above on Spotify or via Amazon, Stitcher, TuneIn, Google Play or Apple Music.
